Frogs get a bye this week before having to play TEN straight weeks. Thanks Big 12. Hopefully they learn how to play defense again over the next couple of weeks......

Nutkick City in Austin but I'll be dove hunting again this weekend. Game is at 7.

Using transitive properties Rice should kick Texas' ***....Hook'em none the less.

With todays rules and athletes being able to get paid endorsements the top SEC schools will get more dominant. It will be easier for them to get 5 star kids. Big 12 - PAC - etc will not be able to keep up because companies will pay the SEC players to wear their shoes more than anyone else. Its will all be about television $$$- Texas will benefit from the move but gotta put up Ws

This is exactly correct. The money will follow the talent which will be at the best schools. We will continue to see the same 4 teams over and over again. Only way to fix that is to open it up to a true playoff. 4 teams is not a playoff.

We need to score at least 21 OFFENSIVE points. Oline needs to pony up and block to establish a run game to take pressure off Calzada. Offense needs to be rolling to beat Arky in Jerry World.

Rice is awful. Texas by 5 TDs.

The Aggies need to get QB2 out of this game healthy and hope to work in some late game snaps with QB3, that is now updated as Bost.

Nutkick mirrored this…

https://stats.texassports.com/custom.../81/ut-ark.htm

On to week 3. Lick the wounds and f’n regroup. As mentioned in week 1. The OL and DL have major issues.

Texas opened at -24.5 over Rice. I’m not sure they cover.

Thompson starts?

What a mess all of a sudden.

Arkansas will be 3-0 and inside the top 20 when the Aggies get them.

A self induced QB controversy.

Whichever QB gets the start against Rice and Tech should look stellar. Pressure mounting to start Thompson for sure.

Won’t know which is the right decision (if there is one with the OL paky) until the OU game.

Thompson not starting would be mind boggling. Card isn’t the answer.

A&M has a hole at QB now with king out and I’m not sure we have a guy to fill it.

Well if that's the case looks like he's done for the season.

Recovery. Most tibial shaft fractures take 4 to 6 months to heal completely. Some take even longer, especially if the fracture was open or broken into several pieces or if the patients uses tobacco products.

Better hope it isn't a micro fracture. My son took a helmet to the leg on a kickoff and received a microfracture to his. He ended up missing the rest of the season. Several games. It's a long healing process. His was basically shattered like a windshield.

There are a lot of California schools with lot's support of wealthy people who like to be in the lime light. I think NIL will actually help the USC, UCLA, Oregon (Nike $ has been flowing there for years) and others.

The schools that will suffer are those without the long list of very wealthy boosters, or those that don't organize those boosters properly.

And yes, I know the school can't officially organize it, but they dang well better have people at arms length who do.

I picked a great week to be in the mountains hunting elk. Unfortunately, my hunt turned out to be just as big of a punch in the gut as the Texas game did.

That was an embarrassment on the coaching staff (and players) at Texas. I hope they enjoyed their humble pie and got back to work on Sunday.

The NCAA is doing a great job this year of sharing rules and call from the officials perspective. These are helpful in clarifying some misunderstandings in rulings.

As long as it works, I agree. Casey looked great at CU with the game still on the line. Arky was in mostly prevent and playing back when Casey was in their game. I hope he looks great at all times.

texas gives up 333 yards rushing and OVER 7 yards per play! everyone puts their focus on the quarterback. lol card is not the problem. FORTY POINTS dudes!

ark ran TWO more plays the entire game 66-64. NO interceptions! time of possession favored ark. by only 2 minutes, but lets put it on card. just stop.

**** I wished Sark would have called you before he watched film of the Arky game...

You think all the focus is only on the QB in the Texas' coaches room? Just stop!

The QB is the highest profile position in all of sports.....when the head coach makes a change after watching film, it's going to be discussed by everybody. If you can't differentiate between immediate discussion on the high profile switch after the press conference that just ended and what needs to be done overall, we can't help you..

It may are may not be we will see if Calzada can get it right for four quarters against New Mexico this week. We had the same thing happen in 2017 when mond had to come in . And well Calzada ended up looking better than Mond did when he came in .

Can Mond still come back? I would take him. Ags should put up at least 17 points against New Mexico. One would think. Arkansas....well, it may finally be their year to beat the Ags. Aggies have beaten them nine years in a row. Without QB1......we shall see. Texas will beat Rice. SEC Shorts....they always do a good job.

Texas lost the game in the trenches. I've been watching a guy break down specific plays and it's maddening. One play Okafor points out the blitzing linebacker and then just let's him go right by as he blocks another guy. Another play 3 O lineman block the same guy leaving one of the 3 down linemen free.

But Casey for some reason did produce better results. I'm not so sure they called the dogs off much.

Card missed some wide ooen guys on a couple of deep balls.
