My last hunt is soon approaching

at my Brady lease. I'm getting sad.
Jan 1st sure did sneak up on me.

I've enjoyed the place an the memories. I learned what little I know about deer hunting there.

I've known this day was coming. I'm not lamenting just sharing that I'm sad for me and estatic for the Landowner. I'm also sad for him because this place was the realization of a lifelong dream of his. He's in his early 80's and didn't want to burden his wife with having to sell his dream in the event he passes first.

I know the feeling, it really hit me on the last hunt on our 10 year lease. I did however still pass on a pretty good buck that last hunt, with no regrets.

Been on my place in Brady for 15 years or better. Its part of my life, my kid grew up hunting there and have lots of great memories. I sure hope I don't have to walk away from it anytime soon. Sorry to hear your losing your place. Brady is an awesome area.
