24" height is good if you are on the ground or only on a 4-5' raised platform. One of my blinds is on top of a 10' tall platform. When my kids bow hunt out of it they need the taller window to allow for arrow clearance when making a 45*degree downward shot at 15 ish yards.
So ground level- 24" tall fine
Elevated- either mount the 24" windows fairly low to allow for close shots, or go with larger 36".
Appreciate the replies. I made them 10” with a plan to make them wider if needed and I think they are good. They T into the horizontal windows. I plan to hinge the board I cut out so when closed all you will have is a horizontal window for gun hunting and also plan to rig up some shoot through screen on small bungee and hooks so easily removed. I hate screen in low light so want it easily removed with out Velcro making a ton of noise
