A lot of bbq has got commercial with all the millennials and yuppies from the city traveling and driving up prices. Almost like hunting now a days. Hard to beat Coopers in Llano. Lots of variety and home of the Big Chop. There are a couple of great hole in the wall joints that are reasonable in the Hill Country. One in particular is the BBQ Shack in Burnet and Inman’s in Llano. Bbq Shack has excellent brisket and sausage. Inman’s jalapeño cheese turkey sausage.

A few years ago I had the biggest chopped brisket sandwich at Buzzie's. I think there was 12 ounces of meat on that bun. The servers were all young, not sure if that was the normal serving size.

Brett's BBQ Shop in Katy is new (open 1 year) but has some amazing food. Brisket and Beef ribs are amazing.
