Words can’t even describe what a whirlwind the past few days have been....
Flew back home from Florida for a quick trip to West Texas last week - I had just two days to get it done before the big group came in for a hunt.
After 33 total hours in the blind hunting for a nilgai with my bow, it finally all came together!
Perfect heart shot at 20 yards, and he was down, in sight at 52 yards. It was truly a team effort, and I absolutely couldn’t have done it without Courtney’s help and support!
We celebrated, took a few pictures, cleaned the front shoulders and caped him out and then quickly switched gears and prepared for the wounded veterans, General Sisco, the former Governor, a Medal of Honor recipient, and two Purple Heart soldiers to come in for an awesome deer, axis and addax hunt.
Today we said our goodbyes to an incredible group of hunters and finished cleaning the nilgai for a trip to the processor and taxidermist.
