An icon in country music. R. I. P. Miss Loretta. We saw her in Tyler a few years ago, she was in her eighties then, but still put on a good show. She will be missed.

She is probably better off, my mom saw her in "concert" about 10 years ago. It was mostly her kids using her as a prop on stage to sell tickets.

The movie "Coal Miner's Daughter" may be the best biopic ever made. Introduced her (via Sissy Spacek) to millions who weren't already country music fans and caused a huge resurgence in her career
