I got out there yesterday around 3:30p on Oct 3rd and didn't have a bird move till 7p. He has been on camera at 4:45p and 6:30p consistently for a few days and shooting light ends at 7:34p yesterday. He walks out from the opposite direction I expected to see him come from based off pictures with 4 doe in tow. At this point it 7:25p and it's very hard to see in the pine woods. I had to adjust my lighted sight four times to finally get the sight and deer in view. I drew back once and he stood behind a tree until I needed to let back down. And then he walked away from the feeder and had brush covering everything but his head. I was anchored and had to let down again. And then he turned a third time and I anchored for 30 seconds till I saw him quarter away at 20yds and once I let my eyes adjust to the darkness for the third time I released. Shot felt good and sounds like a plastic bag popped when I hit him. He went up and crashed on the dirt and got up and ran into the the thickest stuff on the property. After 30min went to check my arrow and it was a clean pass through shot with frothy blood. But still gave him 45 min before I went in after him. I didn't find blood anywhere but the arrow around a 10yd radius, I just followed where he went in and followed a small game trail in the brush until I found blood at 20yds in and then finally a good amount of blood splatter. He was barreled up about 40yd from the feeder.
