We would put the nutritional powder in big red and put into small chicken water dispenser. Kinda hide in the bushes close to protein feeders. And the "flys heads in bowl" is correct. One time I recoverd 9 flys inside the pen!

I prefer a not so strong batch. I don't like my flies dying inside the pen. I like finding them in the woods behind the feeder or dead up in the trees. Nutritional Powder, Tuna, Big Red, Turkey pan.

Depends how strong you mix, I like to use a 1/2 cup to 12oz big red, usually the flies die within 50ft or closer.

If concerned put a plastic tub over top and cut good size holes so flies can get in.
