Crockett county hunters

So I’ve found a prospective lease that is on county rd 303 or Vic Montgomery rd approximately 20 to 30 miles Northwest of Ozona. Is there anyone on here who hunts in this neighborhood who would be kind as to give me some intel on deer quality? Deer numbers? Hogs ? Turkey? Or absolutely any advice or info good,bad or ugly on this area. Thanks!

I’m a few miles west of 303 off cr 208. We do not have any hogs.

How far from 190 is this ranch??

I used to hunt not far from there where 190 and 137 intersect. We had 7000 acres, low fence, never fed an ounce of protein, and only managed the place with a gun. Our top-end bucks were in the 140-150 class. But this was after only 7-8 years of intense management.

No worries Mayhem. I’m really not sure how far south of 190 it is . I haven’t been there yet. So with year round feeding and management do you think a 140 or 150 are possible?

Mid 130- 140 class deer with the occasional 150 in there.

We have mule deer on our place. Does this ranch?

These bucks were killed off my lease last year. We do not protein feed.

He said there were a few mule deer before the drought but since then they haven’t seen any. But that’s a really dang nice one there. Thanks for posting those pics . I’d love see any more you’d care to share . If not I understand

The 2 biggest WT went a couple inches under 150.

Both mule deer were right around 160.
