From Casey's EXIF data on Flickr, he's shooting a Canon EF100mm f/2.8 Macro USM.

Nikon's equivalent is the Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR Lens.

That reminds me of a few years ago when I was doing some macro, I didn't know it at the time, my step mother had to point out I took a picture of two bugs mating. It was weird to say the least.

Nice work, Casey! I have that lens and don't use it often enough. Using it for macro, the DOF can be razor thin at the low numbers and I get a lot of near misses. As you've demonstrated, it's a pretty good portrait lens as well. I look forward to seeing what you do with it. You may have inspired me to get mine out and use it more.
