2nd opinion on Buck?

What has you convinced he is 4yo?

Mainly his body mass and look of maturity compared to the other deer that came in that I’m calling a 3yo. He is fat and swole in the neck, I got some good video of him but not sure how to get a video posted in here. Only thing that sucks is I was about 10-12 ft up in a tree and he isn’t 10 yards from the tree most of the time. So it’s a downward angle. Here is a picture of him looking away from me we the other buck came in.

He will be close. I would pass on him. If meat is what you want shoot a doe. If a mount is what you want, let him grow another year.

Wow that’s close look how wide his brow tines are.Id prob shoot he’s a mature deer ear tips are wide tip to tip.If it turns out short I’ll help you get him out in secrecy.I have a few friends that can’t tell the difference between 11 inches and 13 inches and have called on my East Texas roots for help.

I'd say leave him. Too close to call and it's not hurting anything to leave him (removing him for genetic reasons is misguided). Why take a chance?
