How bad does that Damascus steel rust? It sure makes a pretty blade, but not being a real stainless, does it season like a regular carbon steel knife, or is lubrication necessary?

I have two of my own blades I’ve had for years and no issues. I recommend light oil to store and don’t leave outside in a dirt pile
