That sucks man.

I got drawn for the first time this year (3rd year applying), and it's for Atascosa which has really good draw odds since they give out like 800+ permits. I haven't won any "top tier" hunts yet.

Powderhorn this morning 29 cards drew 2 and my group wasn't one of them.

We drew Arizona javelina today. Not a big mystery since there are usually left over tags but the two teenage units and I will be going to 34A and 34B to hunt Cues and Mule deer, Javelina, Antelope Jackrabbits, Ducks, Quail and maybe each other if we get board enough.

We're going Dec 28th to Jan 6th. Archery season for deer and javelina start Jan 1.

Anyone else going for the over-the-counter deer during that time?
