This one is mine. I really really like it. Battery charge lasts FOREVER!! Very bright the red lenses are clear lenses with red sharpie on them.. it also strobes with all 3 lights

What headlamp is your favorite

For tracking it is hard to beat the Sniper Hoglight 40KAP....incredible light for lighting up blood. My lease members say it works well for varmint hunting as well. All I know is it makes it look like daylight where it is shining.



For general purpose and walking in, I just grab a couple of good cheap energizers LEDs headlamps with a red light feature and roll. I have two that have lasted me 8 and 12 years respectively. Long battery life and easy batteries to replace.


Here are a couple of recent pics with the 40KAP. Notice the difference between day and night. On the last pic, FND used his 40KAP on a tripod for the LDP at 10pm at night.

Was a big fan of surefire. Still am. Are they expensive yes. But lifetime no questions warranty goes along ways. They stand behind their products. So id recommend a surefire maximus 1k lumen headlamp.

Then the jury is out, but i also use a acebeam h30. Now this little joker is crazy bright. They claim 4k lumen and in turbo mode on the brightest setting, it could actually be.. ive had it a few months. I would probably buy another one.
