Default Purple Mattress or Puffy Mattress reviews

Looking to get a new King mattress. Kinda settled down to these 2. I have laid briefly on a purple bed of a friends and it felt pretty good. Have not laid on the Puffy, but it has won best mattress the last 2 years in a row.. Just looking for some real world reviews. I am a big guy and my current Memory foam bed is giving out.

Big fan of my purple mattress. If you like memory foam I think you will be happy with the Purple. No help on the puffy mattress though.

We have the puffy lux king for almost a year. No complaints so far. When we purchased we were making the same decision between purple and puffy. The deciding factor was the return policy. The CS at puffy told me if we don’t like it that they would come pick it up at no cost to me. Seemed like the easiest return policy so we decided to try them first. Of course we loved it and didn’t use the return policy.

We have a puffy, I like it about as well or better than any mattress we’ve ever had. My wife said she liked the tempurpedic better that we had at one time but I thought it was too hard. I guess we are both happy with the puffy.

Also, puffy ran a “refer a friend” coupon after you buy. Gives the friend $350 off and you a $250 credit if they use the coupon code from you. I posted it on FB marketplace and got $750 in credit to buy more puffy stuff

My wife and I do not like our purple mattress. We’re both side sleepers and we wake up with sore hips and backs. We’re building a house and when we move ours will get replaced.

We have 2 purples. Started out with a king 3" at home. Loved it so much that we bought a queen 2" for the ranch.

Prior to the purple mattresses we had a Tempurpedic. I was going to throw the Tempurpedic in the burn pile, but my dad rescued it. He asked what was wrong it. I told him that it was too hot, too hard, and hurts my body. He said that it looked in too good of condition to just throw away, and that he wanted to use it at the ranch.

Guess what he says now? That bed is hard, and I get hot in there.

I've had the Purple for about 4 years now and have been very pleased. I'm sleeping better and the mattress has held up very well. With the honeycomb design, it is very breathable and seems to be significantly cooler than my old mattress. I don't know anything about the Puffy mattress.

We bought a Purple 3 last fall. My wife and I wanted different mattresses after our first shopping trip. She wanted to stick with a traditional mattress and I liked the Purple. We decided we had to try something so we bought the Purple. We both love it now. I even got the pillow and that thing is awesome.

I haven't been able to sleep on my side in years due to our old mattress. This Purple works great for that. It took us about 3 weeks to adjust to it but both are thrilled with it now.

A little off topic but has anyone tried a ghost bed? Have heard great things about them. Sorry I’m no help to the original question.

We have the purple 3. Really like it. Took about a month to get used to it.
If you sleep hot like me it is really good. Has been the coolest temp mattress we've had. However, it can be dang cold in the winter.

Cons- Very heavy and can be hard to handle on your own.

We have a nectar I believe as our main bed now but we had a purple original before that. I really liked the purple and it was my favorite of the 2. Like mentioned above it is HEAVY and a pain to move around the house if needed. But other than that they are awesome.

So the purple does allow one to be a comfortable "side" sleeper? This is a good thread. Thanks for starting it.

We bought one of the purple mattresses before the new model came out. We love ours. I have never had a mattress that doesn't wear out. But this mattress sleeps the exact same as the very first day. I think we have had it 2-3 years now.

We had the same experience. Also, the so called simple return policy was a real hassle.

Yes, I'm a side sleeper. I would recommend either the 3 or 4 for side sleepers. 1 and 2 may not have enough of the purple stuff.

I bought a Purple, the $1500 king. It wasn't comfortable to me and sent it back. Actually they tried to get someone to pick it up, couldn't and i ended up giving it to my ex wife. Got a Wink and love it. I'm a side sleeper and like a plush mattress. Plus wink has a good bounce to it which is really nice

We love the purple, I have the pillow and love it too. Your wife will hate the pillow because it's heavy and doesn't stand up pretty.

I can sleep on my side again and not wake up nearly as much hip/back pain. And it is WAAAY cooler than normal mattresses.

I have a Purple (original), and I love it. My wife likes a really firm mattress. The ones she likes are way too hard for me. I can sleep on my side on the Purple without hurting. But she has to have the really firm mattress to keep her back from hurting. So rather than buying a king that one of us or neither of us would be fully happy with, we bought two different twin XL mattresses. We each got the one we liked best, and then we put them together on our king bed frame. Twin XL mattresses are exactly half the size of a King. We use king sheets over the whole thing, and it works great.

Hers is about 1/2" taller than mine, but that's hardly noticeable at all and doesn't cause any kind of problems. If one was more noticeably taller than the other, I'd put some plywood or something down underneath the shorter one to raise it up. But that isn't necessary for the ones we chose.

We did same thing. I prefer a firm mattress with a 2 inch memory foam topper and she likes a plush mattress. Also did the adjustable frames

I just bought a puffy today. It gave me a link that says it will take $350 off someone’s purchase and I get free sheets. If anybody want to use it let me know and I’ll send it in text.
