Wow. Some of you guys are hardcore drivers. Not for a hunting trip, but I just drove 1230 miles straight through a few weeks ago going to see my daughter and it wiped me out. With 2 food stops and 3 gas stops, I still made it in 16.5 hours.

Flew into Omaha, NE and met some buddies and drove to far northern Saskatchewan. Forget how many hours but it was a loooong drive.

Drove 26 hours straight thru this last September from Boerne to Idaho for an elk hunt. Never do it again. I’m too old for that. Gonna stop in Colorado from now on.

I’ve done some long drives hunting- longest solo was 21 hours with a 3-4 hour nap in the driver seat. Stupid on my part on reflection.

Driver fatigue causes accidents, injuries and fatalities. I believe if you want to kill yourself- so be it. But not another guy, or woman, or innocent family.

I’m on a search and rescue team. ***** goes sideways for folks really fast.

Hunt hard- life is short.

Longest run for me was from Oceanside California to Carroll Springs Texas. Did it on my old motorcycle, only stopped for gas & grub.

I don’t recall how many hours it was though.

22 hours from Syracuse to Little Rock.
Won't do that anymore. Lost an aunt and uncle due to a sleepy driver dozing off. I won't put my family or another's in danger like that anymore.

Yeah, flying works better unless you want to bring home all of the moose meat.
