Fireplace set: one of those bad ideas you agree to for a friend

I make knives, and as such am a bit of a blacksmith. A friend asked me if I could make him a fireplace set. I owed him a favor, so I agreed.

Today I rough forged two of the pieces, the poker and the tongs. Started with 1/2 square stock and some 1/2” twisted rod.

Still have some welding, grinder work, and riveting for these two pieces. Have a shovel, stand, and broom to go.
