What kind of Fertilizer for food plots?

What kind of fertilizer for fall food plots?

I will be grain drilling oats, wheat, triticale, Crimson, and winter peas in 7-10 days and not sure what kind of fertilizer to use.

I normally do 200-300# per acre of 13-13-13

    Thanks

That's what I just put down. The pounds per acre was based on the soil test.

What county are you in? Type of soil? If you haven't had your soil tested, I would do that as well.

I also used triple 13 on all mine this year. Mostly because it’s so readily available. If I planted something that requires more fertilizer like turnips ur beets I just put more of it. It came up good. I’ll hit it one more time this week just to help it out.

Sandy Soil. Food plots have done VERY well the last few years.

Just looking to maybe make them a little more attractable, taste wise

Triple 13 has always worked well for me in Eagle, Columbus and Nacogdoches areas. Thrown out 1 week after germination.

A 3-1-2 fertilizer like 18-6-12 or 24-8-16 would be a good blend especially in sandy soils. Nitrogen tends to leach out of sandy ground fairly quick.
