Got my solo limit this morning, 3 blue wing, my first green wing and two shovelers. Was a lot of fun, will be hunting a different spot tomorrow with my brother and my friend.

Very nice! On another note, I saw they changed the limit back to two pintails this season. Makes it easier on us.

This is my first season hunting ducks so I’m unaware of last years reg’s. The spot I’m going to tomorrow is thick with pintails. Hopefully all three of us can get our two a piece.

They changed it to one last season, but went back this year. Key thing we have found with pintails is to stay as still as possible if they are circling high over your blind. We’ve had good luck using a pintail whistle bringing them in.

Solid hunt on the south farm this morning with 18 ducks (teal, shovelers, and gadwall) and 3 specks that we’re our first birds of the day. We are on pins and needles waiting on our north zone farm opener it’s holding lots of geese and ducks.

Done in 30 minutes. My dog hurt her foot on the last retrieve. It’s all swollen now. Not sure if it’s a snake bite or ligament soft tissue injury. At the Vet now.
