How much weight are you pulling?

I have my 1st trad bow and started with a 40# samick sage. I draw 29" so it should be just a bit over 40#

It is time for me to buy stronger limbs. I'm trying to decide how much stronger.

I know that is up to me but just wanting to see what everyone else is at.

50,55,or 60 is what I was thinking. 40 is real easy for me right now.

Well I am not all muscled up like yall. I shoot a 48@28 about 45# at my draw. I don't hunt elephants though.

I've got 5 trad bows and they are all between 45-48# @ my 27" draw. More than enough for any critter in Texas. The "key" ingredient is a tuned arrow with a scary sharp broadhead.

Right now it's 45#@31". I get a whole lot of performance out of that 31".

The biggest thing I've got from this post is I don't have enough bows!!!

Since I started a few years ago, I had been shooting 35 to 45 lbs. I recently got some 60 lb limbs for my Sage, and sheesh, what a difference. I didn't realize I was such a weakling when I first tried pulling that weight.
