    Thanks for all of the replies guys! I really appreciate all the info. Sounds like for most hunting situations it’s just best to stay supersonic.

      I’ve yet to be impressed by suppressed ammo performance on the animals I’ve seen killed with it. (Primarily hogs and varmints)

      Silenced rifle with regular ammo, sure. But subsonic ammo not nearly as much

        the 190gr sub x bullet is what i shoot in the 300 blackout with good ethical kills
        and i have retrieved every bullet on the 6 animals my son and daughter have killed this year, and one hog was dropped in his tracks at 125 yds

          When I had my ranch I used to rifles for tracking wounded game. I killed hundreds of them over the years up to Red deer and Oryx size critters.

          300 AAC with either 170 or 194 grain Leigh defense bullets or 44 mag with 280 grain swift A frame.
          My experience with sub loads were they killed more like a broadhead. Just plunk them in the lungs then wait a little while.
          Nothing can live without lungs
