Oh there would have been charges filed! Lawsuits filed! He might even have to file on me again after I got out of jail!

No...not at all. I just went through some similar stuff as a kid. Dad coaches can be over the top with their own kid

I agree. And they all think they can coach. Even the ones on the sidelines. It was a nightmare when my wife coached a trap team. Every dad that ever fired a shotgun was willing to give bad advice to the team.

it just depends on the situation; maybe the kid called him a MFer, who knows at this point.

            wait for the FACTS.

There wouldn't be much left to press charges on if it was my child.

I wouldn’t involve the cops, he would be taken care of elsewhere, and physically wouldn’t be able to do that again to any child...

If I couldn’t whoop his arse I’d bring enough people to do it.

I’d have to google how to press charges lol.

I had a football coach in junior high who would not think twice about knocking you down.

Nope... we’d have our own conversation.

Doesn’t matter if the kid called home every name in the book. Send the kid off the field, talk to his mother, suspend him, whatever. Physically hitting the kid is totally unacceptable.

I wouldn’t press charges, but I’d go visit him for a 1 on 1 conversation. He’d be lucky to be around to press charges on me after hitting my kid

This happens a lot unfortunately, that's why when coaching my sons youth football team us coaches decide which other coach will be responsible for each others kids throughout the season for any type of discipline or things of that nature.
