Default Dall Sheep Mount Ideas

Lay it on me. What do you have or what have you seen that looks the best. I donít have him skinned for full body but have enough for 1/2 life size or shoulder mounts. I know how I am leaning but hoping to see some ideas I havenít come across. Jerry Huffaker will be doing this one and Iím excited to get the process started. Heís not a monster ram but likely the only one I will ever have.

I think you already have a bunch of mounts so if you do a 1/2 lifesize, do you have room for him? I know I wouldn't have room in my current house--

And a bunch of congrats--used to aspire in my younger days--but now way I could navigate that terrain now.

Shoulder mount on pedestal are my favorite for sheep.

Full body looks good with right pose and rocks, etc. but take up lots of room.

I have never liked the half body with front legs on any animal.

Show us end results. You picked good taxi.

I do have the room for 1/2 on the wall but not on the floor. It would be here

I regret not doing full body on the only dall sheep I will most likely only have.

I know this doesn’t help at all, but it’s how i feel.

Bobby, I am a big fan of the floor pedestal over a half body. I have a couple pics of Argali on a pedestal that I think look great. I will text them to you if you want them.

all that said, I would just tell Jerry to do what he wants and show him where you want the sheep. You will be thrilled with whatever he decides to do, the man is an artist.

Have to agree with letting Jerry do his magic. What ever he comes up with for your mount will be top notch.
Congrats on your ram!!

Congrats on your sheep! A beautiful heavy ram!! Im partial to wall pedestals with or without some rock. Looks like it would fit perfect in your room. Heres mine from this past fall.

Heres an example with the ibex wall pedestal adding some rock and the rusa deer has no rock. I just really like the changes in depth and angles to help break up a wall.
