Just bought two of the 2,000lb feeders. They have an adjustable door in tubes to limit how much feed comes out. Where do you normally set yours? Wide open?

Just bought two of the 2,000lb feeders. They have an adjustable door in tubes to limit how much feed comes out. Where do you normally set yours? Wide open?

I have a few of these. I have them at about 3/4 open, but I have adjusted them in the past. It will depend on the feed you are using.

Helps to remember you can adjust them if they get clogged or have moisture in there.

i have had the same feeder for years.. i have always set mine at about half way. wide open i think you will have a good bit of feed falling on the ground.
