Probably anything with teeth if it got a jaw instead of a neck……..just a guess

Caught plenty of critter not by the neck, still alive upon arrival, and never seen one chew one in half.
Neighbors cut it out?

Found him floating in a tank about 400 yards from snare. Had 1 foot and neck in snare. Chewed the snare in half and made it to the tank on 3 legs before killing over.

I’ve had hogs pop snares before. Caught one big sow in a snare that had just broken another snare about 100 yards up the trail.
