Ring the tail and pull a 8ft piece of something out a 4ft fish .
Caught hundreds in my youth snagging below the Terry & Pendleton locks, and Maumelle hydro plant on the AR River.
Never thought about having one mounted, but that's definitely a unique euro that you don't see a lot of

This is the most peculiar statement I’ve read all year.

They sell skulls and bones that were used by medical schools and so forth. Great conversation peices.

I grew up eating shovel bill catfish out of Red River north of Bonham. It ain't bad eatin. Better than drum and sandbass but no where near channel cat or flathead.

When I was a kid, we'd go below the dam at Texoma. There was an old smelly bait shop there that had a "dried" head of a spoonbill, hanging above the counter. I've always wanted to catch one, but never gave it a try.
I wouldn't mind having a gar done. I like conversation starters, just not to the extreme as Man![emoji16]

I’ve got two from North Dakota. Weird prehistoric fish. More of a social thing to do once a year.

That's a nice looking display piece, I would never have guessed it was a paddle fish bill.

Did not know they were plankton eaters. I would guess it takes a lot of time, to figure out how and where to catch them, if you have to snag them.

I have to admit that I wanted to see what a Euro duck head looked like as well.
