What is the threshold for what people call a lightweight rifle? Have a Kimber in 300 WSM that weighs 7lbs 2 ozs with a Swarovski 3.5x10 ready to roll. I would consider it at the top in weight for a lightweight rifle. Super/ultra lights are a different breed.

I would say that’s very light total weight. Nice setup.

Which Swaro? I’m looking at the Z3 3-10x42 BRH due to the reticle and weight, just over 12ozs.

I finally weighed my new setup. 7lbs 9ozs. 308 Mesa with a Z3 3-10x42 on top. Talley light weight rings.
