    Feeder Rebuild, and New Location

Brought the gravity feeder to the house, and mounted a 30 gallon barrel on the bottom of it to keep the feed from being exposed to rain. There are three feed/nose tubes around the bottom of the barrel. I redid the tubes from what you see in the picture, because they weren't rain friendly, but it works great now.

It increased the capacity to 37 - 50# bags of feed.

I also set it in a new location 100 yards due east of the back porch.
That way I can shoot pigs from the porch with a rifle, but I am putting a ladder stand in a tree about 15 yards to the west of it for bowhunting, which I will do primarily.

I also have two very good solar power motion sensor green lights on it.
I can see it, and all around it real good in the dark.

Nice feeder design and great looking set up. Shooting 100 yard pigs from the porch, sounds like fun. Good luck Rick with that 15 yard bow shot, you are really on to some good times.

        Thanks !

I may need to start up a go fund me account to fill it.
At today's feed prices it's over $300 to fill it full from empty.
Good thing is, that much feed will last a long time.

Rick, yep, prices are sky high but that big feeder is going to be a hit with all the local critters. By the way, that pic you took of the feeder is so clear with lots of sun it looks like I am standing right there next to it.

I dumped a little feed on the ground last Friday right in that spot, and killed this pig at 6:30 Sunday morning.

Got my ladder stand set up down there for some bow & arrow killin.

20 yards from the bottom of the feeder to the bottom of the stand tree.
