Garmin Sport Pro is probably overkill for what you need but it's bulletproof.

We use a PetSafe bark collar and it seems to work very well. If the dog barks, it sends a warning, then a shock. No need for a remote or you to be paying attention. Self sufficient.

Our Sport Dogs have been flawless, sorry to hear you had a bad experience with them.

I have two Garmin bark collars. An older one, and a newer one. Both work good. Dogs know when they are wearing it and will be quiet. Didn't take them long to figure it out.

I have a Garmin. It will support 3 different collars, and has 3 different modes. Shock, vibrate, and tone. Intensity goes from 1 to 18.
