Default New Hellcat from Springfield..

Same size as the P365 but 11 and 13 round capacity. If it's reliable, it's gonna sink the P365.

I was just reading an article about them too, but it was on ballisticmag.com
I am thinking that I'll have to have one in the OSP version

The biggest selling point would be reliability.....if they are reliable.

What’s the price on it? I recently bought a new 365 w/safety for <$500 including shipping and FFL fees.

Just saw that, thanks.

No manual safety so Iím out. (No need for the safety/no safety debate. None of us will change each otherís minds so letís not even go there. Thanks.)

Looks like a cool gun, though.

but if there is 11 and they are still coming towards you after you dropped 10 buddies... then that last one is really stupid OR he has at least 10 more buddies behind him.... maybe you need two of these....

That thing is tac-ti-cool. I mean, they even stipled the guide rod because, why wouldnít you?

Donít think itíll be sinking the P365 anytime soon.

I have a few sigs and and they are very accurate, dependable and fit my hand well. Iíve had a 365 for a few months and itís a very straight shooter. Never had a Springfield but thatís a sharp looking rig...

Too prone to failure from dirt/lint intrusion from all the unnecessary openings they have (loaded chamber indicator and cocked striker indicator). Had an XD45 fail on me twice, both times gummed up from dirt at the lease. Thank God I didnít need it because I would have been screwed.

I’m intrigued...not as ground breaking as the 365 when it first came out but 1 extra round is one extra round. I’m not crazy about that trigger guard but I’d like to fondle one. That being said, I highly doubt I will be giving up the Sig anytime soon regardless.

Bottom line....A for effort from Springfield. Technology has come a long way with these micro carries.

The only thing I was worried about when I saw the commercial was if it had a safety or not.. I'm left handed so an external safety is a pain in the butt..

There’s been an ongoing competition between my son and I for years when it comes to firearms and the youngster always seems to do his best to try to ONE UP the old man

Well, after a year or so of me ribbing him on how much I love my SIG P365....he just walked in the door with the new Springfield Hellcat. Ok ok, I’ll admit...1 extra round is 1 extra round!! He bought the OSP (optical sight pistol) version with the Shield RMSc red dot laser which is a pretty cool feature....if you’re into that. The tactical U-dot sights are nice and I also like the trigger but then again I’ve always been a fan of Springfield’s trigger.
It seems boxier or bulkier in my hand than my P365 and it’s darn sure heavier, but some of that can be attributed to my son’s obsessive need to accessorize these stupid things Like the red dot and the Viridian C5L green Lazer light Well...that and the fact that it’s sporting an extra round of capacity...somewhere. I personally don’t care for the bulkiness of extra stuff hanging off my pistols when trying to unholster the darn things...but I digress.
It’s a cool little firearm but the 1 extra round isn’t enough to make me want to give up my SIG. My son likes to run laser optics and gadgets so he will like it no doubt.
Here are some pics for comparison.

I'm still keeping a close eye on reviews for both. Would love to get your comparison of shootability and reliability of both.

Iíll update you on the Hellcat when we get to the range with it Michael. As for the P365 I think I have 600 rounds (best estimate) down the pipe so far with ZERO hiccups. Itís been flawless, has excellent sites, grips and overall ergonomics. Ok to good trigger with a sweet, short reset. I added Talon grips to it bc I just got into a habit of adding them to all my micro carries...but it dang sure didnít need it.
As for carrying, the SIG has been my favorite subcompact 9mm so far. Itís SMALL so it conceals well and is fairly accurate. That being said, these pocket pistols are in a class by themselves and just ainít a lot of fun at the range. They arenít made for ďplinkingĒ IMO as they are all snappy. I personally donít care for sending more than 2 boxes at a time downrange. I have too many other firearms I enjoy shooting way more
