    I’ve never seen anything quite like that, but I wouldn’t have eaten that deer either. Too many more of them to take chances with your family’s health.

      I toss any animal that seems sick; usually it's pigs with those weird tumors or starving. All that being said those veins probably wouldn't have triggered my "nope!", they look close enough to normal.

          I read that blood in animals with anthrax won't clot. If so, that's probably not anthrax, right? Still not a bad call to not eat an animal that looked sick.

              I would wait a few more weeks before I would take any animal in Sutton right now or at least until the cooler weather shows up. I hunt in Sonora and we won’t shoot anything right now.
