Need some advice on a blender.

Ok. My wife gave our son the blender for his apartment at UT. So now my wife wants a new blender. I want to get a nice blender but wanted to see what everyone else is using and their opinion.
What are you using. Pro vs cons.

but it will be the last one you buy
sure you can go buy a cheaper Nija, or any other brand.
but quality comes at a price...
the wife uses hers daily, and we have had it for over 6 years...
well worth it

Depends on what you are using it for....

We make a lot of smoothies, so the ninja Pro is perfect - it has the big blender pitcher and the smaller smoothie size 'cups'

I think they are about $125 and super easy to clean.

You'll probably burn up one, maybe two in your lifetime.

We mainly use those little bullet mixers and have a few of them scattered around - one at the lake house and one at the ranch.


Vitamix is overkill for what I use a blender for.

We have the Vitamix from Costco. It gets the job done, but it is not cheap and it is very loud.

We have a Breville. Came recommended and is spot on for what we use it for. Smoothies mostly, occasional ice cream shake, but I have used it as a food processor for soups and sauces.
