    Wine suggestions

My wife and I are not wine drinkers and I am more of a bourbon man, but we are going camping and my wife suggested we get a bottle of wine for the camp fire. I know taste is a personal thing but do you have any suggestions for something we might like?

My wife drinks that crap. She always makes me taste the different kinds she gets as if I’m going to like them. It all tastes the same, terrible. Get the wife some tequila, you’ll have more fun.

You can get a lower end Silver Oak cab for $80 or so. Then again, if you don't even know if you like wine, go Chilean. Can get a bottle of Concha y Torro for $10-15.

Do you know what variety of wine she normally drinks?
If you have a total wine near you, you can sample several and go from there.

I’d probably go with something a little sweet like Riesling for the not often wine drinkers

If you think she would enjoy something more on the sweet side, try Grape Creek Cabernet Blanc.

If you like bourbon look for a good Port. Lots of flavor and higher alcohol content.

A nice Red Blend aged in Bourbon barrels. My wife is a fan.

I used to think all wine was sweet tasting and terrible... until I tried cabernet sauvignon. If you're not used to it, almost any bottle $14-$20 will taste the same. I like Louis Martini Sonoma.. give it a shot, you can always chase it with Woodford.
