I’ve been hunting since I was 6 almost 40 yrs now and killed a lot of critters. I’ve been proud of each and everyone. I made a quick trip to my lease yesterday morning (250 miles)to fill feeders and have a two hunt weekend to let my son maybe get a pig. Son plays football and I didn’t want to drive down Friday after game. Well I ended up killing what I would call a great deer my personal best!!!
I’ve been on cloud nine since yesterday evening. I never intended to shoot a buck this year because I planned to let my 18yr old daughter kill my buck for her last deer on our lease. So back up and punt time now I guess. Needless to so he came to the feeder and left like 7 times. I couldn’t take it anymore so I settled the pin and let the Grim Reaper eat a hole in the crease he went maybe 50yds straight downhill and crashed. I ll have to figure out things with my daughter now lol. I’ve been pumped he beat my old by almost 20”. A true buck of a lifetime for me.
