My 4th renewal is coming up soon. Wondering if I should even bother. I seldom ever carry anymore since I am retired and stay at home most of the time. The only thing is it's better to have it and not need it than to need and not have.

I forgot to renew mine until my birthday (the day it expired) in December. I got online and took care of it right then. I got an email from them saying that if my photo or fingerprints didn't meet the new standards, they'd email me and I'd have to resubmit them. I kept waiting for an email, but finally 2 weeks later my license showed up in the mail.

My advise is do it while you're thinking about it.

Funny thing I just read that 85% of holders don’t carry and it was asking the readers to recommit to carrying daily. I am now recommitted and will carry daily.
