    Looking for Strother Valor Limbs.

I have the 50-60# limbs now.
Wondering if it's possible to pick up a set of 60-70 lbers, and how much they will cost?

Been wanting to but a new bow to get more KE...

            Well crud!!
I went to On Target with my buddy Sambo73 today. I was looking at bows on one of the racks and saw a Strother Moxie hanging. I looked at it. It's a 2012 model with 65# limbs and set at 28# draw. I asked one of the techs if they had longer draw modules available for that price. Buck said he put different modules on it earlier this week, 32" he thinks.

My heart started to beat faster.

He tech who was helping me put it on their draw board it was set at 63# DW and 32" DL.

            I about passed out!!

I shot it. First shot went HIGH :-(
Second hit the target. It draws different than my Valor. I wasn't struggling per se to draw it, but it was a chore. it has an Octane drop away rest, I don't like it, I was busy watching to make sure the arrow fell of it. It did several times

We shot it though the chrono, 282 fps with a 419 grn arrow.
We bottomed the bolts out. Max draw weight 68# and 290 fps...

            Now what to do?!

Call Strother and order new limbs for bow you already own. It will be a lot cheaper than a new bow, new rest and arrows IMO.

Or you could buy the moxie with the 32 modules on them, change the rest get some arrows and get to shooting.

                    Looking for Strother Valor Limbs.

My new dilemma new bow or new limbs. I could sell my current bow use that money plus what I would end up paying for just new limbs and it would equal what they are asking for the Moxie.

When I shot it yesterday I was using my arrows.
Buck said that they could put a WB on it and I would not have to change arrows....

He says that the Moxie would be the way to go, because its designed to go to 32" and the speeds the where I want it!

                          Now to convince the wife!!

I'm thinking of selling my Valor to offset the cost of the Moxie.

Here's a link to my thread on Archery Talk

Gmotsu23 is a Strother dealer and a great guy to deal with. He got my 70 lb limbs for my Wrath and Tuned it. Plus he has all the new strothers bows to shoot.
