    Elk backstrap

I have been reading all of these recipes for backstrap and they sound good. I was wondering if anyone has tried these with elk backstrap and if not what marinades and cooking techniques do you use? Thanks ahead of time.

Elk BS is as good as Angus beef. Hard to mess it up

It tastes like the best deer backstrap you've had, except it's better and there's more of it.

Cut one thick like a ribeye. Cook it over a bed of mesquite coals with equal parts of salt pepper & garlic. Youll be amazed.

elk taste nothing like but one of the best ways to cook besides salt peper and garlic over the fire which i agree is great, but take the steak with the same salt pepper and garlic add a lil tonys creo then put it in just flower (no egg) and with veg oil on a low heat just enogh to bubble when the flower hits it let it cook about ten mins on each side deppending on thickness. add some mashed taters and lets eat.
