Iím trying to figure out what these guns are worth. Did a quick search and didnít have much luck. The web is all over the place. Any help would be appreciated. I was told the 12 ga. has a different butt pad and thatís about it.

I'm not much on values but not as much as they used to be. Is that a 12Y? If not chances that VR are original are slim.

Looks like someone cut the stock off and then added back to it, or someone else did. I’m gonna guess the Model 42 is gonna be worth a good bit more than the Model 12.

When you figure it out.

I'd like to be first in line for the model 42.

12y will have a y in the serial number. If no y then look closely at the rib for a name on it. It's probably not a Y with that fore stock. Chances that rib is original then are very slim, especially with that length barrel.

VR= vent rib.

The model 12 not so much... The 42 is pricey... You should check gunbroker to see what they sell for...

Like everyone else is saying the model 42 will bring big dollars. The model 12 won't bring near as much.
