Started building my son a tree house. Got busy and haven't finished it. But maybe this weekend ill get back on it.

Very nice! What’s the details on the slide? I’ve been wanting to add a slide to my kids tree house but don’t want to fork over the cash for an 8 footer.

Thanks all. On the slide i just used 1.5 pvc and cut a ton of little triangle spacers that go between each pipe to keep them from compressing together. Seen a video where a guy used all thread and washers run thru 3in pipe with caps on each end, worked better, but im pretty sure you could buy a slide cheaper than making that one. Mine isnt super fast but i didn't want him coming down like a bullet anyway. It gets faster with a tow sack.

Impressive work.

A little advice from a Dad that waisted a bunch of money on one. Check it for wasp nests often.

I added a 2" PVC pipe with the intention of it being a talking tube. One kid could put their ear up to it downstairs, and the other upstairs, could talk into it. First time my daughter used it, she got stung and never used it again.

Thanks for the comments. Its got a small loft/bunk on each end, and ive got some string lights ive been meaning to put up in there. He took his sleeping bag out there one night, but he didn't last too long by himself. (He's 7). I told him id camp with him one night, but i haven't done it yet. Probably not this weekend but maybe next.

Love the fairy tale cartoon roof lines. Nice touch! I built one for my girls but it doesn't have a roof. But it does have a zip line and a bucket and rope on a pulley systems. It's all about accessories with the tree house for my kids.

Here are better pics of the slide. Few things i would have done differently. Should have made it steeper, should have beveled the edges when i cut the triangle spacers in pic 3, so they made less contact with the pipes. Although im sure others probably could think of a better idea. The pipes spin fine, but i wish it was faster. Hope that helps. I had to throw a few pics of him in there too.

Thanks, i had an idea how i wanted it to look, freestyled it based basically off the boards and lengths in my hoard pile. All together i only had to buy 2 pc of smart siding a couple pvc pipes.

Did you cutout enough of a space on the deck to allow for sway in the wind on that tree ?
Or is it anchored well enough it won't get pushed around in the wind and off the post footings ?
We have to consider wind for everything.

Post are down around 30" and concreted in. Its anchored low enough on the trunk that i dont think it gets a whole lot of movement. But if it does, it should sway with the tree, being that is the only anchor point. Or at least thats what im thinking.
