I’m going to share my blessings in one post.
The buck-
I was blessed to take a really nice buck at home at our ranch. I killed him out of my new Krivoman set up with my Matthews VXR. There was no mistaking this deer was a shooter when he walked out. If I don’t kill a second buck this year I’m absolutely happy. He’s going to make a huge Euro and was able to see it today and is almost ready to come home. Can’t tell you what an honor it was to kill this big old deer.
The ram- first I want to thank Bisch for guiding me and getting me on this ram and for all the help and advice he shared with me regarding trad hunting. I want to thank Tim for helping me with trad gear and inviting me back to his ranch- London Oaks to hunt this ram. Long story short I was unsuccessful over two trips to kill this ram with my recurve. I was humbled with my recurve and unable to seal the deal. I switched to the compound and was finally able to kill this giant ram who was done allowing anybody to get near him. The Matthews put this thing down within about 20yrds of the shot. He’s got a huge mane and will make a nice addition to my exotic wall with a shoulder mount.
