I’ve seen some of those videos - as a scavenger myself it looks like fun. For those not familiar it involves tossing a strong magnet on a rope in public waters around boat ramps, docks etc and seeing what you can pull up

I just ordered a large magnet with the full intention of doing some magnet fishing after seeing a few of the videos on U tube.
Looks like fun and it's a darn cheap hobby.

I saw a guy 15yrs ago with one. It was strong enough that he put it on his bumper and all he could do to pull it off.

Lmao. Working on boat docks a must have tool is a large magnet on a rope. Tools are an investment in your business and none of them float.

Amazon search "fishing magnet". There's several options. Most are 6-800# pull

Check along bridges that cross lakes. Back when I scuba dived, we would dive under and along bridges and find all kinds of stuff. Everything from fishing tackle to guns.

Kinda reminds me of Ron White regarding the airplane with engine failure...Ö.

"how far will one engine get us?"

"all the way to the scene of the crash I guess"
