Hunted the feeder this morning. Had a small 9/10 and a spike. This pick is from last night but is the same deer I saw this morning.

Spent the rest of the morning scouting.

It's slow. The deer are not hitting corn. To much green stuff.

It’s weird how all the brush is dead, but the grass/weeds are still green and growing.

Had a nice buck chasing a doe at last light. He was moving to fast for a shot. I'll be hunting the feeder in the morning.

The huntstand app screwed me. It stated the wind was going to change around 2, but it didn't.

Haven't seen a LDP quite like this before. Hope there wasn't a blood trail and that everyone is okay.

Found a spot in the road that the deer hit hard last night. Going to sit in the truck this morning and glass, then start making a blind for tonight. The forecast shows the wind being good for this stand for the next three nights, so I'll give it a little extra love.

Broke out the bow for the first time this trip. Not hunting where I want, due to the wind being just slightly off. Its changing but not fast enough. It should be solid for tomorrow.

Hunting a feeder that had some doe on it last night. I don't like hunting feeders in the evening but was short on time and it had a fairly decent blind already built.

Lol, good luck. It was slow hunting last week. I wasnít in 12, but if you found a spot that still had corn on the ground I would move on. Sounds like nothing was coming to that spot.

I know everyone talks about first point being a challenging hunt because the deer are smart but it sure seems like hunters are not seeing many deer at all. Is it still green down there? Are deer numbers down? Best of luck to you on the remainder of your hunt, been following along this entire thread.

Here is what I think for what it is worth.

It is a big place with that said they put a bunch of hunters through that place ea year. Which equals lots of pressure and lots of people driving around in the pastures looking for trails, scrapes and rubs. Deer are smart especially the big boys! Its like I tell my father in law and brother in law, when the dog has to go wherever they go and sit in the blind etc. I complain and they say we see deer every time and then I say when is the last time you shot a trophy??? Silence.

Anyway on a side note I have been on a few briscoe ranches in the past and dealt with them and one of them doesn't like bow hunters or outfitters so it blows my mind that they allow first point to exist?? Not bitching just confused, its their ranch it just is not consistent with other ranches of theirs in the same area.

I just think by this time of year they bucks are hiding. And I am sure that lack of strict management doesn't help. I sure their are many bucks shot that shouldn't be.

It's a tough place to hunt. The deer are highly pressured and have gotten very smart because of it.
