Got started on the front deck

Interior is all but finished. All I need to do is add rock tile in corner of living room to place my 1800’s wood stove.
Still have paint on exterior of containers and finish trim work on corrugated metal.

Deer movement has been really bad most of the yr.

Tons of rain but my stock tank is completely full.

I will prob have one big addition to the property after first or yr.

Man we are getting closer to being “finished”, well maybe not but the big pets are almost done on the barndo.
Majority of exterior paint got done, deck about half, bunk bed frames built, and got the “rock” ceramic for my 1800’s wood stove set.
Also got all the exterior trim, gutter and down spouts installed.
Just got to finish exterior paint, cut and install cedar posts for the porch roof, stain and seal bed frames and install roll up doors on both ends of bay. Still have some various welding to do on some of the frame work.

Nice I grew up in Navarro Co but on the east side. Have you fished Navarro Mills. Used to be some good crappie in that lake.

Few updates, almost complete, just some trim and gutters on porch is left. Finish grading dirt work around barndo and build an fence around yard area for pups to stay in.
Still needing some furniture, gas stove and fridge but the building itself is all but done.

If you can’t tell, my wife likes to “pretty” things up and I have 4 females in my tribe.

We spent our first night in cabin last night. Did some night hog hunting. Pigs were there before we got to stand but didn’t see any once there. Was a big boar at camp feeder when we drove back but couldn’t get a shot off.
Animals are still hammering the plots. I have a decent group of deer pretty regular but all young bucks and doe.

Oh and just a tiny update but the ranch is getting bigger in a week, about to close on another 76ac next door. Will have 108ac total. Beautiful piece of land but gonna take a lot of work to clear some brush and do some shredding. I’ll get some pics of it soon as we close.

Well I am officially further in debt as of today, closed on the additional 76ac to make a total of 108 ac. A new set of projects will begin, primarily land related. Alot of brush work, dirt work and creek crossings. About 1/3 of the land is an old overgrown field surrounded by big timber so going to start preparing some of it for food plots and my main hunting area. Also going to need to start working on the fencing to get some grazing done until I can buy a few head myself. Gonna be a busy spring/summer but at least this yr I will have a place to stay. Sucks to work in the heat all day then drive home an hour dog tired and dirty. I'll post a few landscape pics once I get back out there this week. Gonna get a feeder or two going soon with some cams to hopefully get some pics of antlers before they drop.

I was actually not looking to add on yet but my neighbor approached me out of the blue last yr about it and it took near a yr to finally get it all worked out on both ends. I wasn’t really ready to do it yet but if I passed the opportunity I’d be kicking myself for many yrs to come.

I’ll try to get some pics some time this week.

Made it out today, we are getting brush cleared to put in new fence around original 32 and I got some pics of the 76.

Also got a feeder set up and corned some roads. I really need to get on pig duty.

Found a pretty good shed, great beams and mass, brow was broke off and time length wasn’t great. Prob 3-4 seasons old.

One of my biggest projects to tackle on the new place besides an enormous amount of brush work. This is the main crossing leading to the crp field. It is severely washed out around the culverts
