Thanks for all the congrats! This is not at all common on my lease. I've seen a couple pretty good ones on camera, but all the ones that have been shot over the past 6 years I've been there have been 120 or less. I've got 2 shoulder mounts from several years ago and said I'd only have Euro mounts from then on. I dropped him off at the taxi around 5 this evening, now I just gotta figure out what mount I want. Other 2 are semi sneak facing each other. They're both high 120' - low 130's.

Thanks and thanks. Guess I'll take my tape with me when I give taxi instructions, and score him again.

Thank you sir. It all happened so fast, I didn't take time to count points. I saw he was wide enough and there were points everywhere. I saw his right kicker and then he went behind some bushes and I thought he was gone. He walked back out and gave me a shot opportunity. He was a little over 100 yards away. After I shot, he mule kicked and ran straight towards me and crossed about 15 yards in front of the stand. Ran another 30 yards down the shooting lane in front of me, then turned into the thick brush. Ran another 30 to 40 yards and I heard him fall. I started analyzing the shot and could see the entry wound when he ran in front of me. It looked a little far back for a bow shot, but tried to convince myself it was good enough for a gun shot, since he did the mule kick. I went ahead and waited 30 minutes before I got out of the stand. The wind and my imagination had me thinking he was moving the whole time. Got down and didn't find any blood on the 30 yard trail he ran down. Started feeling sick! Walked towards where I thought he fell and found 2 really good spots of blood. Kept thinking of the horror stories I've heard of gut shot deer jumping up and running off. Adrenaline was pumping so much, I probably would have shot the whole woods up if a bird had flown up. He was about 15 yards farther from where I thought. Second deer I've shot in my wife's stand with her gun. Found out the shot was good, but didn't pass through.

                            Congrats on a great trophy.
Net doesn’t give the buck credit for what he grew!
Sounds like y’all have a good lease, but it takes older deer to
                            see the big “scores”.
Any idea on age of this one?
