Well this is all free range and you are right the usually very skittish. This is free range so i'm not sold on bottle raised. The two ranchers around me don't bottle raise Axis so who knows.

I have seen them act like while you are in a vehicle, even a 4wheeler with a feeder. But the moment you climb into a tree stand in the area they are super spooky. Almost like they know whether or not you are serious.
