    Ever notice the places where shade would help there are no trees and where there is lots of shade it doesn't help.

        Our place must be directly under the heat dome - a lot hotter than forecast in Ft Worth. Yikes!

          100 doesn’t bother me it’s the 30 mph wind I want to go away

                    It’s as much a part of Texas as blue sky’s.

                      Heat = OK

                      Humidity = SUX!

                        The first time I ever seen a hay tedder being used in Texas was in the northeast part of the state. Knew they’re used in other states. Haven’t noticed a great many using them in NE Texas but it’s definitely more humid in that area than what I’ve been accustomed to.

                        I used to mow quite a bit of bottom land with batwings on open station tractors due to the low hanging tree limbs. This was usually in July and August. After doing that several days in a row, the engine heat, humidity, dust, and sun begins to take a toll on the body. And I kept a large cooler with ice and drinks strapped to the back of the tractors.

                            I think it will be more than that. Junction has already had 5 this month and 5 more predicted for this week. If this trend continues, think it will be closer to 90 days.

                              That heat wave in '80 was brutal! Bad time to own a black F150 with a black interior. Went out after work one day and everything plastic was melted. 8 track tapes, cheap sunglasses, even the steering wheel was mushy.
