Yep I have a bottle of it and it is too hot for me. On the other side the Garlic Cayenne is about the best sauce there is.

The Tabasco Chipotle is awesome! A great smoky flavor and not as much of a vinegar taste as the original. I love this stuff with chili and BBQ.

Had a guy that worked for me who put Tabasco on everything he ate. Even tater chips. All he ever tasted was Tabasco. I bet he put it on ice cream……

I used to work with a guy that was from Avery Island. He would go home to visit and bring us the regular Tabasco in gallon jugs.

Seen a guy put it on chocolate brownies. I also know a guy that will put mustard on chocolate chip cookies.

Been using the Scorpion for a few months and love it. Use FAR less of it, so the bottle lasts longer.

That is what about 95% of hot sauces taste like to me. There are slight differences in their version of spicy vinegar. I like and use them on occasion and not knocking them but realistically, that is all it is.

Some of the ones like Cholula or the chipotle versions with smoke, chili powder, etc. give a different flavor profile.

But Tabasco, Red Gold, Louisiana Hot Sauce, Frank’s……

You would be correct!

Crystal Hot Sauce is definitely not a Avery Island copy cat with that vinegar after taste.

I’m about halfway through a bottle of the scorpion Tabasco I bought late last year. It’s really good, definitely spicy, but Tabasco in general just has too much vinegary flavor for me.

On a side note, I planted a scorpion pepper plant as a novelty. Dang thing is taking off and putting on peppers. Not even sure what I will do with them.

I'm a Texas Pete guy though.

The plant in Avery Island near New Iberia actually makes Tobasco Ice Cream and its actually pretty good.

I wish HEB would carry more of the tobasco flavors. There are several that you have to order or pickup local when i go back home to visit family. There is more tobasco flavored stuff in the gift shop than i can count. Pepper jellies, seafood boil, ice cream, soda, you name it.
