Cabela’s Meat slicer???

Are the Cabela’s meat slicers any good? I have a couple gift cards and I was thinking about getting one.

I have a small cheap slicer and it works great, I'd bet the cabelas brand are pretty dang good

I make a lot of jerky. Got one of these a few years ago. Loved it that first round...until I had to clean it. Took it back the next day and continue to use a good knife.

Cleaning it does suck. But it is so much faster than hand cutting.

Not to mention that the slicer makes more consistent cuts than cutting by hand.

If you need to slice and you don’t need a commercial, I would say yes. I have one and love it for jerky, a ham, bacon, etc. cleaning anything is a little bit of a chore but not much here compared to the time spent with just a blade.
