Son and I looking to do an Archery trip over Christmas Holidays and looking at Sandy Sanders. Any of you guys been there? He likes the Western feel of hunting, so thinking this would give us some fun for a week.

I have hunted Sandy Sanders WMA in western Oklahoma. Neat place with lots of land. We had the best luck on the far south end.

Went with a buddy last January, saw some deer down by the elm fork of the red river. 2017-2018 big game report says 10 bucks and 5 doe were shot there with archery gear last year so it can be done!

I'm curious if yall took this trip and how the experience was. I'm doing homework on potential WMA's in Oklahoma for this fall and Sandy Sanders is on the list.

And if anyone else has experienced this area, what did you think of it?
