    Brace height

Forgive me for my lack of knowledge here. I am new to traditional. I just bought a Horne take down recurve. What should my brace height be set to? Also, should I leave my bow Unstrung when not in use. I’m sure I will have a lot more questions here in the future.

    Thanks,

    Kruppa

I’ll let one of the Horne shooters chime in on the recommended brace height, but strung or unstrung is a personal preference thing, with the exception of don’t leave them strung in a hot environment (car). I usually unstring my bows when not in use.

My Horne Mountain bow shoots best at 7-1/4

Waiting on email right now, but I think I will start @ 7 1/4 until then.
                    Thanks for the input.
